Genesis Men’s Home

Breaking the Bondages of Drugs and Alcohol as First Hope Responders

Everyday around the world, drug and alcohol addiction is wreaking havoc of catastrophic proportions. Marriages break up, families are destroyed, a child’s future is set at risk, jobs are lost, countless drug related acts of violence happen, and the potential of yet another life is never fulfilled. The ripple effect of addictions and the cost to society is incalculable.

For decades now the “war on drugs” has been raging and drugs seem to be winning. In the midst of the overwhelming devastation there is Hope. Genesis Men’s Home is a first hope responder to individuals, families and communities plagued by addictions.

Finding Freedom in Christ

At Genesis Men’s Home we purpose to facilitate life transformation through a 12 month residential discipleship program for adult men ages 18 and up. Our aim is to help them in their struggle with drugs, alcohol, abuse, anger, rebellion, depression, and any other life controlling problem. We believe in God’s ability to change a person’s life. We know that given a chance, everyone can go on to lead a successful and purpose driven life.

Our faith based approach focuses on assisting students in their relationship with God, themselves and with their families. Men seeking help enter the residential 12 month program and immerse in a consistent schedule of Christian education, one on one counseling, group sessions, anger management, relapse prevention, prayer, work, and fellowship. Our greatest endeavor is to help men become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well and spiritually alive.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

Through Genesis Men’s Home, a Teen Challenge modeled program, the bonds of addiction are broken, men are healed, and families are restored. If you or someone you love is struggling with a life-controlling problem we have the answer.

While the homeless of St. Louis may be “invisible” to some in the city, we show them that God not only sees them but that He loves them unconditionally.
