The After School Feeding Program exists to aide the underprivileged children in and around the 21st Ward of St. Louis.
We are located in an area where 97% of all public school children are enrolled in the free lunch program due to a lack of financial resources.
In a recent article from the St. Louis Business Journal, it was found that for more than 58,000 people in the city of St. Louis, obtaining their next meal is an ongoing concern, and more than 17,000 of these city residents often end up going hungry.
Our Program exists to meet the needs of parents and children that are forced to make decisions on whether to buy food or pay rent.
The After School Feeding Program feeds an average 90,000 to 100,000 hot meals per year at four public schools to needy students ranging in age from 3-18 years of age.
