Our founder, Joyce Meyer, has for years said that, “if you can help a child, you don’t have to spend years repairing an adult”. We believe one of the reasons we exist is to strengthen families.
After spending time with local school staff, it quickly became apparent that there’s a need for students attending elementary schools in our community. You see, we’ve centered our activities for years around kids.
In this season of our organization, though, we’re thrilled to build upon that past investment to partner with those local schools to develop a comprehensive after-school program for kids called DC Station. Complete with tutoring, homework assistance, activities such as sports and dance, and even dinner, we’re designing this new effort to come alongside the parents of these future leaders.
